The joy of greenery

With nature as the guiding principle, your urban garden becomes an oasis of greenery that provides a sense of tranquillity and happiness.

From the inside out

Nature is a source of joy, so immerse yourself in it! Particularly if you are living in the city and have just a couple of square metres of space for greenery, such as a facade garden, balcony or rooftop terrace, I can always find a way to bring nature right to you.

While attending Salone del Mobile in Milan, Europe’s largest furniture fair, I suddenly realised that ‘stuff’ does not make people happy. Instead, nature is the true source of happiness

Nature in your home

A walk around Lake Como with all of its peace and beauty inspired me with the insight that everything we truly need comes from nature. Upon returning to Milan, I stood right in the middle of Hall 2 at that immense furniture fair, and suddenly realised with blinding clarity: alongside providing interior design advice, I will be designing gardens.

My clients will be able to experience the joy and tranquillity of nature right at home. From the inside out; each space a beautiful extension of the other.

Nature in the city

My mission is to unite nature and the living environment as a means of connecting people with greenery. This is especially important for city dwellers, who often can’t take this connection for granted.

It’s a shame to have a garden that you don’t really enjoy or that doesn’t particularly inspire you. Fortunately, the solution is simple: together we will transform your garden into a wonderful place.

No matter how small it is!

About Ferbine

Ferbine: what an interesting name!
It makes perfect sense however, since ‘ferbine’ means ‘to connect’ in Frisian.

Even after more than 25 years in Amsterdam, I’ve never really lost touch with my Frisian roots.

I always seek connection. My first step is to understand your situation and your desires. After that, I can get to work. I may even come up with ideas that have never occurred to you, simply because I know that there are so many possibilities.

Green for good health

Being surrounded by greenery has been shown to enhance your health, increase your energy levels and promote mental and emotional well-being. You can enjoy these benefits too, simply by having a garden that suits you.

Connecting with nature

Live by the seasons once again! You can enjoy connecting with nature every day in a garden that is beautiful all year round, richly diverse, and free of pesticides.

Blending indoors with outdoors

Revel in creating a harmonious connection between your indoor and outdoor spaces that provides a natural invitation to spend more time outside.

Green planter draws the eye

‘The most attractive part of Ester’s garden design is the planter in the middle, which adds greenery to the garden. The height differences provide a playful element.’

A complete garden in a small area

‘We could never have come up with the garden design that Ester created. There is so much seating space, all surrounded by greenery and colourful plants. This outdoor living area is a perfect extension of our kitchen-dining room.’
